A WORD TO THE PARENTS

Family and school are the places where children can express their ideas based on their observations and experiences. It is important to make the children feel that they are cared for allowed to express their inner thoughts. Only then parents and teachers can effectively contribute to their growth.

Parents are the child's first and most influential teachers if parents are not effective teachers, then in most cases the School will have far greater difficulty in being effective.

Parents can do many things at home to help their children successful in School, They can do so through.

a) Obsserving toutine for meals, bed time and home work.
b) Monitor the amount of the time spend in watching T.V.
c) Provide books and special place for studing.
d) Read, talk and listen to them.
e) Tell them stories, play games and share hobbies.
f) Discuss news, T.V. programmes and special events.
g) Lead conversation so that child is made to read reasons, understand, analyses and synthesize a situation.
h) Help children meet dead lines and,
i) Allowing the child to enjoy freedom of exploration observation and yet saying firm 'NO' wherever required.
